We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Buckler's Park, Crowthorne café.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the culinary arts, and a strong drive for career progression. This role requires a blend of management expertise, culinary knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining food safety standards while ensuring our guests receive exceptional service and high-quality food.
Duties
- Supervise daily café operations, ensuring smooth service and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff and front-of-house employees, fostering a positive work environment.
- Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring adherence to culinary standards and food safety regulations.
- Develop and implement menus that reflect current trends while catering to customer preferences.
- Maintain inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while managing costs effectively.
- Train new staff in kitchen procedures, customer service protocols, and health and safety practices.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for resolution to enhance guest experience.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote special events or menu items to attract new customers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team.
- Culinary background with knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in bartending is advantageous but not essential.
